چکیده

The rationale of product platform-based product development has been well recognized for the implementation of mass customization. A product platform refers to the conceptual structure and logical organization of product families from both customer and technical viewpoints. This paper introduces graph grammar formalisms to the representation of product platform. The concepts of multi-pointed hyper-graph, node nesting and graph class are developed for modeling platform modules, multilevel variety origins and generic product instantiation, respectively. A graph grammar is used to transform customer requirements in the customer view to product family design in the technical view. Customer-perceived variety is embodied in optional features and/or value-variable functional features. Mapping relationships from the customer view to the technical view are represented in the form of production rules for graph transformation. The application condition of production in cooperate with the control diagram determine how a suitable product variant can be derived from the base product of the platform. A case study of power supply platform representation is also reported.

Modelling platform-based product configuration using programmed attributed graph grammars

The rationale of platform-based product configuration has been well recognized for the implementation of mass customization. A product platform refers to the conceptual structure and logical organization of product families from both customer and technical viewpoints. This provides a generic umbrella under which product configuration manifests itself through variant derivation within common pro...

Product version of reciprocal degree distance of composite graphs

A {it topological index} of a graph is a real number related to the graph; it does not depend on labeling or pictorial representation of a graph. In this paper, we present the upper bounds for the product version of reciprocal degree distance of the tensor product, join and strong product of two graphs in terms of other graph invariants including the Harary index and Zagreb indices.

A Visual Approach to XML Document Design and Transformation

This paper presents a visual approach to the representation and validation of multimedia document structures specified in XML and transformation of one structure to another. The underlying theory of our approach is a context-sensitive graph grammar formalism. The paper demonstrates the conciseness and expressiveness of the graph grammar formalism. An example XML structure is provided and its gr...
